Andreas Otto’s practical seminar focused on a body-centred perspective on music software. The aim was to create a short performance in which a digital sound process is conceived, developed and played with self-configured interfaces.
Dr. Andreas Otto will be a guest lecturer in the ((audio)) area. His seminars focus on experimental and performative interfaces between the body and electronic sound.
The inter-university sound research project in the summer semester of 2021 grows out of the cooperation between the Open Studio in the Künstlerhaus Lauenburg with Leuphana Univ. Lüneburg and the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel.
From July 8 to 10, the 2021 annual conference of the AG Auditive Medienkulturen & Sound Studies in the Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft will take place in Lüneburg for the second time.
In January, a series of guest lectures focused on the aesthetics and composition of artistic soundscapes. The four lectures were given by international artists*. Among them: Fredrik Mathias Josefson (new media artist), Zoe Yi-Cheng Lin (AI & VR music), Luong Hue Trinh (experimental electroacoustic music) and Ángela Hoyos Gómez (new media artist).
On 25.09. the workshop ‘A life in Samples’ took place as the final event of the seminar ‘Digital Sampling Techniques’. The guest was the New York based artist Tony Rainwater (Anthony Abbadessa), who exclusively presented his unique and creative sample workflow. The event was accompanied by a discussion on the question of whether and to what extent there are limits to the technique of sampling.
In the research area of the llaudioll.de website current scientific work is available for viewing and downloading. Newly arrived are bachelor and master theses with the following focal points: Postcolonial perspectives on music trends; streaming and curated playlists; the effects of the restructuring of music on the net; sound design in the e-automotive industry.
